Job Category: Technology
Job Type: Full Time
Job Location: San Diego - CA

Description:

Sapient Logic has a career opening for a CANES Production Engineer to support the integration and building of CANES baselines from the deliverables by the CANES Subsystems at the Network Integration and Engineering Facility (NIEF). We are looking for someone not only with great engineering skills but also has the ability to communicate with teammates, not alienating the development engineering team that may have missed the bug/issue in development testing.

Responsibilities:

  • Build CANES baseline from deliverables provided by CANES Subsystem development teams
  • Ensure the installation is repeatable until Fielded Systems Engineering (FSE) and Production Assistant Program Manager (APM) determine the repeatability of the build is stable.
  • Coordinate bug fixes with the cognizant CANES LSI and CANES Engineering Subsystems
  • Open and develop bugs for “common sense” corrections to the baseline, where one should be able to address obvious problems with the baseline and make the required changes without having to delegate the taskings to other subsystem engineering teams.
  • Communicate and document integration and installation procedures.
  • Lead weekly reviews with Engineering Leads to discuss or accomplish the following:
    •  Any non-Security Finding Severity 1 or 2 bug that is in a “To Do” or “Blocked” status, with intention of removing blockers, determining priority, or identifying resourcing issues that may be preventing the bugs from making progress.
    • Any “Needs Final Review” bugs that the Prod Eng team has found issues with to ensure all parties are on the same page for the way forward to close the bug.
    • “Stale” bugs (recently set to bugs not updated in over 60 days) to determine why the stale bugs are lagging.
    • “Ad-Hoc” lists of bugs for high priority events or areas of interest for CANES leadership.

Required Qualifications:

  • BS degree required in STEM field
  • Minimum ten (10) years of experience supporting the engineering of Information Technology systems for a DoD or Government Agency (CANES Engineering or installation experience preferred)
  • Minimum of four (6) years of experience with the engineering and integration of domain and enterprise services software for CANES.
  • Minimum of six (6) years of experience engineering solutions for one or more of the following technologies: Microsoft Server OS, Microsoft Domain Controllers/GPOs, Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft SQL, WSUS, RHEL, Microsoft SCOM
  • Minimum of four (4) years of experience with PowerShell development.
  • Ability to provide expert level knowledge in systems engineering and information technology
  • Ability to develop solutions across software and hardware to solve problems and implement enhancements
  • Ability to investigate and resolve issues that span multiple applications/technologies and require involvement from technical personnel across multiple organizations
  • Ability to develop and/or revise system designs and architectures to improve efficiency, stability, effectiveness, supportability, and sustainability
  • Ability to communicate effectively with production team members, Development teams, and leadership.
  • Experience with RHEL is a plus
  • Experience with Ansible is a plus
  • Active Secret clearance with the eligibility to obtain TS/SCI clearance.
